Usage
All data comes from OpenStreetMap and is licensed under the Open Data Commons Open Database License (ODbL) by the OpenStreetMap Foundation (OSMF).
Layer Information
This service consists of a subset of features from OpenStreetMap.
This layer was prepared using osm2pgsql and Osmium.
Information has been clipped to the Kendall region. Features and attributes extracted for this service are as follows:
Water Bodies
As the name suggests, this layer consists of any body of water, permanent or intermittent.
Fields
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Class | The kind of water body (river, pond, etc.) |
| Intermittent | Whether the water body is intermittent or not1 |
| Name | The name of the water body, if any |
Names
When the water body has an associated flow line, such as the Fox River, the name will be attached to the linear feature. Names only apply to water bodies when the specific area has a name, such as a lake or pond.
