All data comes from OpenStreetMap and is licensed under the Open Data Commons Open Database License (ODbL) by the OpenStreetMap Foundation (OSMF).

Layer Information

This service consists of a subset of features from OpenStreetMap.

This layer was prepared using osm2pgsql and Osmium.

Information has been clipped to the Kendall region. Features and attributes extracted for this service are as follows:

Waterways

This layer consists of any linear feature representing a water flow line. It also includes linear waterway features that relate to the flow of water, but may not be waterways themselves, such as dams and weirs.

Fields

Field Description
Class The kind of waterway (river, stream, ditch)
Intermittent Whether the water body is intermittent or not1
Name The name of the waterway, if any
Layer The feature’s vertical position, relative to other features it may intersect with, as in the case of culverts and bridges

OSM Waterways

OpenStreetMap has its own classification system for waterways. As usual, refer to the OSM wiki for full details.
